We at Shadowpath discovered that York Region provides few professional opportunities for theatre practitioners as it is almost exclusively a community theatre based district. Shadowpath would like to change that. Our focus is to introduce professional theatre experiences to the York Region community with the fine selection of great modern playwrights and fresh, Canadian writers.
York Region is full of talented artists looking for work in all areas of theatre be it technical, creative or administrative staff. Shadowpath wants to prevent our talent from being forced to relocate to cities with more professional opportunities for young artists. Let’s keep our local artists local! Our ultimate goal is to create an alternative theatre venue in York Region, to provide a home for emerging and existing professional York Region theatre companies and artists.
